PhD Scholarships
PHD SCHOLARSHIPS
Two (2) scholarships are established for pursuing doctoral studies in the Department of Statistics. Specifically:
- The 1st scholarship, amounting to €18,000 (i.e., €500 per month for three years), will be awarded to the graduate of the Department’s Postgraduate Program titled "Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in Statistics" with the highest grade point average (GPA), provided that the GPA is equal to or greater than 8.51 and has been obtained during the January and June examination periods, excluding the September session. If the top graduate declines the scholarship, it will be awarded to the second-best graduate, provided they have achieved a GPA of ≥ 8.51, and so on.
- The 2nd scholarship, amounting to €18,000 (i.e., €500 per month for three years), will be awarded to the Doctoral Candidate of the Department with the highest GPA in the four courses specified in the Department’s Doctoral Studies Regulations, provided that the GPA of these four courses is equal to or greater than 8.51 and the option for course retakes has not been utilized.
- The recipients of the above scholarships will be evaluated annually based on their progress in their doctoral studies.
- The implementation of this scholarship program begins in the academic year 2022-23 and onwards.
- The duration of the scholarship program is set at three (3) years.
- Upon the completion of the three-year period, the scholarship program will be reviewed and updated accordingly.
