    Introduction, indices, index numbers, simple and composite index numbers, simple size indices, individual index behavior, base, base change, index series integration, errors, heterogeneity, indices in Greece applied by sampling, indices as random variables. Family budget surveys, Metadata, Basic eurostat surveys and issues of statistical nomenclature. Describing basic surveys (SILC, HBS, steady panels, INTRASTAT etc) and the problems and challenges they face.
