New MSc Program: MSc in Sports Analytics

ANNOUNCEMENT 

MSc in Sports Analytics

 The Department of Statistics of the Athens University of Economics and Business, in collaboration with the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science, announces a new postgraduate programme taught in English titled MSc in Sports Analytics. 

The programme has been approved by the Senates of AUEB and NKUA and is currently pending accreditation by ΕΘΑΕΕ (The Greek Governmental Accreditation Authority/Agency). The programme is expected to start in October 2026.

In this context, a call for expressions of interest is announced for the formation of a priority list for admission to the programme.

Programme Features

• Tuition fees: €8,000
• Distance learning (live streaming lectures)
• In-person examinations and optional supplementary lectures and workshops
• Full-time and part-time study options
• Two study tracks:
  • Sport Data Science: intended for graduates with a strong mathematical, technological, and analytical background (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics/Finance with emphasis on quantitative skills)
  • Applied Sports Analytics: intended primarily for graduates of Sport Science programmes, as well as Economics/Finance and other disciplines with a more applied orientation
• Taught in English
• Opportunity to participate in double degree programmes:
  • Digital Sports (Digisport Graduate School, University of Rennes 2, France)
  • Statistical Science for Decisions (University of Naples, Italy)
• Opportunity to undertake a dissertation at a partner university abroad through ERASMUS
• Internship opportunities alongside the dissertation

Note: The programme start may be delayed in case of slow accreditation procedures by ΕΘΑΕΕ.
