12:30-13:30 Introduction to health economics and economic evaluation

Summary: AUEB and IQVIA are continuing their successful collaboration for the sixth consecutive year, launching the 2026 internship program. This 6-month, paid internship will take place within the Methods and Evidence Generation (MEG) team at IQVIA's Athens offices. The program is primarily designed for MSc students in Statistics but is now expanding to include other areas. It provides students with the unique opportunity to work on industry-relevant projects and complete their MSc thesis in parallel, co-supervised by AUEB and IQVIA. To introduce the 2026 program, a presentation will be held on Friday, December 19th. The IQVIA team will present details about the company and the internship within the MEG team. This will be followed by a Q&A session with current IQVIA employees who began their careers as interns and are also AUEB Stats alumni; they will share their experiences and be available to answer students' questions.
