Quality Assurance Policy

The Quality Assurance Policy of the Management Science and Technology Undergraduate Program of the Athens University of Economics and Business is fully aligned with the quality assurance policy of the institution and aims at the continuous improvement of the quality of its study programs, educational, research, and administrative activities, as well as its overall operation.

This goal is achieved through the program's commitment to providing high-quality services to ensure that the program consistently meets the demands and expectations of its students, graduates, faculty, research and administrative staff, cooperating entities, and society at large.

The Undergraduate Program of Study in Management Science and Technology Program, with the primary goal of achieving international recognition as a center of excellence, establishes, implements, monitors, and maintains a Quality Assurance System. The Quality Assurance System defines the processes related to the effective organization of services, both academic and non-academic, the rational management of resources, the utilization and development of human resources, and compliance with the standards set by the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE). Additionally, it defines the responsibility of the leadership of the program for the effective implementation of the Quality Assurance System and supports the academic principles of ethics and the prevention of discrimination.

A prerequisite for the effective implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System is the clear commitment of the staff and students according to their respective roles in the quality assurance framework. Specifically, the roles of the involved parties in quality assurance in the Undergraduate Program of Study are as follows:

The Quality Assurance Unit of the institution is the central coordinating body for all quality assurance and evaluation processes of the Undergraduate Program of Study under the operation of the Internal Quality Assurance System.

The Internal Evaluation Team of the Undergraduate Program of Study is responsible for conducting the annual internal evaluation of the study programs at all three cycles, in collaboration with the Quality Assurance Unit. Additionally, they set the objectives for the Undergraduate Program of Study and monitor their implementation. They are also responsible for coordinating and timely collecting the data needed for the operation of the Internal Quality Assurance System, monitoring the completion of teaching and research activity forms, and surveys. Finally, the members of Internal Evaluation Team prepare the proposal for the academic certification of the study programs and participate in the internal and external quality assurance processes of the institution.

The Teaching Staff provides research and teaching activities, contributes to the improvement of active and meaningful student participation in the learning process to ensure timely completion of their studies, and guides and encourages students to develop skills addressing current developments in science and the labor market. Furthermore, they actively participate in the internal and external quality assurance processes of the institution, focusing on certifying the study programs at all three cycles.

The Administrative Staff actively participates in the administrative operations of the institution, complies with the requirements of the Internal Quality Assurance System, and contributes to the continuous consolidation and improvement of its effectiveness.

The Students actively participate in the educational process through regular attendance, study, and improvement of their performance.
