STUDY ADVISORS

The Department of Economics has institutionalized the appointment of Academic Advisors for its students. Students may contact their Academic Advisors throughout the duration of their studies in the Department, in order to be informed and advised on matters regarding their studies, as well as the available opportunities after graduation concerning postgraduate studies or career paths in the private or public sector.

Specifically, the Academic Advisor informs, discusses, and advises students regarding:

  • The structure of the Study Program and course content, ensuring they are aware of prerequisites and necessary background knowledge required for specific courses.
  • Attendance at tutorials, workshops, and midterms, aiming for better comprehension and successful exam performance.
  • The content of elective courses, helping students choose subjects that align with their personal and academic interests.
  • Exam results.
  • Pursuing further studies at the postgraduate level, both in Greece and abroad.
  • Career prospects and connection with the labor market, both during their studies (e.g., internships) and after graduation.
  • Any other issue or topic raised by the student that may relate to or affect their studies.
