MSc in Digital Methods for the Humanities
The Chair actively supports the operation and development of the MSc Program in Digital Methods for the Humanities, by catering for visiting professors and researchers; establishing standing collaborations with research units outside AUEB, memory institutions, agencies and industries for hosting diploma thesis work; and seeking financing for scholarships.
The MSc in Digital Methods for the Humanities is aimed at graduates in humanities, social, political and legal sciences, as well as graduates in information sciences, who have a keen interest in the application of IT methods and technologies in the fields of humanities and the changes in work practices that these bring about.
The Program aims at promoting knowledge, the development of an interdisciplinary approach and research, and the preparation for productive and research participation in the interdisciplinary area that has begun to be established under the name "Digital Humanities".
Graduates take on roles of research, production, documentation, curation, organization and management of information resources and administration in projects with a vast use of digital media and techniques in the fields of humanities and cultural heritage.
