UNESCO Chair on Digital Methods for the Humanities and Social Sciences

The rapid rise of the use of digital resources and methods in the Humanities and the Social Sciences enables new questions and approaches, novel ways of interpreting, communicating and teaching, and, eventually, higher impact on society and the economy.

Awarded in December 2022, the UNESCO Chair on Digital Methods for the Humanities and Social Sciences at AUEB has the objective to advance the digital transformation of the way of working in the Humanities and the Social Sciences within an extensive web of international collaborations under the auspices of UNESCO.

Through its work, the Chair aspires to contribute to UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 4 “Quality education”, 5 “Gender equality”, and 17 “Partnerships for the Goals”.
