Cooperation Agreements of the AUEB Informatics Department regarding the Teacher Education Program
Cooperation agreements were recently signed by the Department of Informatics of the Athens University of Economics and Business, which offers the Teacher Education Program.
Specifically, an international agreement was signed in September 2015 between the Department of Informatics and the Department of Teacher Education and School Research του University of Oslo - Norway. This is a collaboration that covers the areas of education and training, as well as educational research. The aim of this agreement is mutual scientific interaction, cultural exchanges, collaborative research, and other forms of cooperation in the sciences of education. The Department of Teacher Education and School Research of the University of Oslo -Norway operates one of the oldest (since 1906) Teacher Education programs, and collaborates strategically with the corresponding Stanford University program in the US.
In addition, three more cooperation agreements were signed in November 2015 between the AUEB Informatics Department and the Scientific Supervisory Boards (EP.E.S) of three Experimental High Schools in Attica. These are the Experimental Lyceum of the University of Athens, the 2nd Experimental Lyceum of Athens and the Experimental Lyceum of Anavryta. The agreements cover the fields of education and training of students in teaching in the subjects of Economics and Computer Science, as well as educational research in these subjects.
The initiative for the signing of the above agreements was made by Dr. Vassiliki Brinia, university scholar of the Department of Informatics, in collaboration with Professor Theodoros Apostolopoulos.
