On Sunday, November 3, 2024, at the EcoZone multiplex, the 7th Annual Meeting of Ano Diazoma, titled "The Protection of our Monuments from Climate Change" took place. The event aimed to raise awareness about the effects of climate change on the country's cultural monuments and promote innovative actions for their protection.
Dr. Vasiliki Brinia, head of the Teacher Education Program of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), addressed the participants of the event. In her address, Dr. Brinia warmly thanked Mr. Stavros Benos, President of Diazoma, for his long-term and constructive cooperation with the Athens University of Economics and Business. She also expressed her appreciation to Mrs. Mary Belogianni, Mrs. Georgia Manolopoulou and the other associates of Diazoma for their continuous support.
Special mention was made by Dr. Brinia to the economist Mr. G. Tziros, recognizing his valuable guidance and support to the students of the program, contributing with his contribution to the production of high quality work by student groups.
At the end of her address, Dr. Brinia thanked the AUEB Center for Entrepreneurship and wished good luck to the participants, with special reference to the group of students Kontokosta Danae, Kolliopoulou Theodora, Micheli Aikaterini, Katsanou Gioula, Triantafyllou Sofia. This team was distinguished by taking first place in the category "Entrepreneurship, Education, Culture" for their pioneering work on the conversion of the port of Lavrio into a smart port.
The 7th Ano Diazoma Meeting was a successful meeting of knowledge exchange and reflection on the need to protect our monuments from the consequences of climate change, while highlighting the importance of cooperation and innovation in addressing this global challenge.
