Prof. Phoebe Koundouri Honored with “Manolis Christofides Award”

On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, Prof. Phoebe Koundouri was honored with the prestigious ‘Manolis Christofides Award’ for her innovative interdisciplinary research promoting sustainable interaction among nature, society, and the economy. Established by the Young Scientist Association of the Democratic Rally Cyprus Association, this award is the highest recognition of Cyprus’s scientific community and its achievements.

Prof. Koundouri had the honor of receiving the award from Mrs. Annita Demetriou, President of the House of Representatives and President of the Democratic Rally Cyprus Association. The ceremony, marking the 22nd year of the award, was held in Nicosia, Cyprus, with the presence of esteemed guests, including Mr. Nikos Anastasiades, former President of Cyprus.
