Global Recognition for the Postgraduate Programs of Athens University of Economics and Business
The international rating agency Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has ranked the Postgraduate Programs (MSc) of Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) among the best in the world for 2025, according to the "QS Global MBA & Business Masters Rankings".
The ranking results by category are gathered in the following table:

At the same time, it is worth noting that:
- MSc in Business Analytics of AUEB was the only Greek Prostgraduate Program ranked among the top similar Master's in "Business Analytics" category for 2025.
- The MSc in Marketing & Communication, Master in Business Administration: MBA and MSc in Accounting and Finance of AUEB were the Master's with the highest ranking positions among the Greek equivalent Master's in the respective categories "Marketing", "MBA" and "Finance" for 2025.
The ranking criteria for the aforementioned evaluations are the following: a) the reputation of the postgraduate programs in the international academic community, the research productivity of the academic staff in specific scientific fields based on Scopus and the percentage of academics who hold a doctoral degree (thought leadership), b) the opinions of employers regarding the postgraduate programs wishing to hire graduates, as well as the rate of absorption of graduates in jobs (employability), c) the return on investment of the postgraduate programs, as well as the average payback period after graduation (return on investment), d) the number of graduates listed in lists (e.g. Forbes) with the top professionals worldwide, as well as the percentage of graduates who create their own businesses (Entrepreneurship & Alumni Outcomes) ) and e) the percentages of women and foreigners in students and academic staff of postgraduate programs (Class & Faculty Diversity).
The Rector of the Athens University of Economics and Business, Professor Vassilios Vasdekis, following the recent ranking, said: "AUEB has a long tradition and remains a pioneer in the operation of Postgraduate Study Programs. It is very important that it appears in the highest positions internationally, according to the prestigious assessment body QS and indeed with continuous improvement. The ranking criteria are particularly demanding and are indeed related to the key indicators that measure effectiveness, such as scientific research, the absorption of graduates and the opinion of their employers, the return on investment for trainees, the reputation of the Institution and the Postgraduate Study Program etc. Our concern is to increase even more the high level of education offered and for AUEB to be a model-University in the international educational environment".
