Prof. Koundouri has been selected as European Climate Pact Ambassador

Prof. Koundouri Phoebe has been selected by the European Commission for the role of European Climate Pact Ambassador, in her capacity as president of the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EAERE).

The European Climate Pact is a movement of people united around a common cause, each taking steps to build a more sustainable Europe for us all. Launched by the European Commission, the Climate Pact is part of the European Green Deal and is helping the EU to meet its goal to be the first climate-neutral continent in the world by 2050.

 “As EAERE President, EIT Climate-KIC Hub Greece director, SDSN Europe co-chair, I will act as an ambassador for the Climate Pact and advocate for active participation of “all parts of society” – researchers, innovators and technology developers, enterprises, workers, consumers and citizens and their organizations- for mobilizing the transition to climate neutrality and the implementation of the EGD and the UN SDGs”
