Health Sector Research Center (HealthSec)
The way that the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted lives and economies, has dramatically changed the way that we view all the activity in the health sector. Our approaches to managing such activities have hence changed, and new approaches on managerial issues have become an imperative need for private and public organizations and are now in the forefront of global concerns. This change also boosted the need for evidence-based policies and business strategies, that not only aim at mitigating health risks, but also at improving performances, based on a new context where health is key for the performance all sectors.
At the HealthSec Unit at MSL we have adopted a multi-discipline approach to research projects and view problem-solving from many aspects. The topics that we undertake have the health factor and its impacts in our lives and activity as a common denominator, and we therefore place on this a special focus in our analyses and generate action and/or policy recommendations that extend beyond the health sector.
We share the view that the changes brought about due to technological innovation and the ability to smartly harness complex information, have impacts on our economies, our societies and on our daily way of living. We offer scientific solutions for improvements, based on our cumulative knowledge and research results, and by studying changes and developments in all sectors that constitute an extended sector related to all activity that contributes to health and wellness.
