On the occasion of World Water Day, March 22, read Prof. Koundouri’s  interview in national newspaper “Real News”, where she explains the new Athenian Brewery’s (https://nerogiatoavrio.gr/) project, which she scientifically leads.

Prof. Koundouri says about the book: "As a response to the climate crisis and extensive marine pollution, and their effect on marine ecosystems and coastal populations, our work aims at establishing transformation pathways towards Sustainable Blue Growth of European Seas, and beyond. These "Blue Growth" pathways are supported by technological, economic, financial, social and policy innovations, developed and analyzed in a systems-based approach, while they engage all relevant stakeholders in their co-design.

On 15/3 Prof. Koundouri participated at the Public Hearing of the European Economic and Social Committee on the opinion on "The New EC Strategy on Adaptation to Climate Change", in her capacity as an expert to the rapporteur (Dimitris Dimitriadis).

Prof. Phoebe Koundouri, is one of the Commissioners and Green Recovery Task Force co-chair, together with Dr Ismail Serageldin, Founding Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Former World Bank Vice President and Min Zhu, Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund lead the Green Recovery Task Force.
