Successful Completion of the UN SDSN ESG Course in the Academic Year 2022-23

In the academic year 2022-23, three rounds of the UN SDSN ESG course were successfully conducted, providing comprehensive training in Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) criteria and the principles of Sustainable Development. A total of 90 professionals participated in the program and earned an ESG training certificate.

This innovative training program is a collaboration between the Centre for Lifelong Learning (KEDIVIM) of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), PwC Greece, Research laboratory on Socio-Economic and Environmental Sustainability (ReSEES) at AUEB and the Alliance of Excellence for Research and Innovation on Aephoria (AE4RIA), and  operates under the auspices of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (UN SDSN), the largest global network of universities with 1800 members focused on developing scientific solutions for implementing the UN 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The course is directed by Prof. Phoebe Koundouri.

It comprises a comprehensive 36hr program for professionals, such as business executives, employees at an early career stage and all those who wish to acquire specialized knowledge on ESG criteria and SDG topics, employing both theoretical and practical principles. This program develops an expanded pool of professionals laying a strong foundation for the sustainability transition.
