Ensuring the Resilience of Greece’s Tourism and Digital Sectors
On Thursday, June 13th, AE4RIA had the privilege of hosting an impactful workshop at the Athens University of Economics and Business on the crucial topic of “Ensuring the Resilience of Greece’s Tourism and Digital Sectors”. The event was part of the initiative “Partnerships for Regional Innovation” and is implemented with the cooperation of AUEB, EIT Climate-KIC (Europe’s largest climate innovation initiative and community), and the EU Science Hub – Joint Research Centre. The initiative aims to develop regional innovation agendas in the process of climate-proofing Smart Specialization Strategy.
Participants, including experts from the research sector and industry, engaged in interactive activities and discussions, focusing on:
- Co-creating a common vision for resilience in the Attica region, aligned with existing smart specialization and climate adaptation strategies.
- Sharing their climate adaptation actions, exploring potential synergies.
- Discussing the composition and funding of an ideal portfolio of innovation actions (existing and new), based on an integrated approach for a prosperous and climate-resilient future in Attica and Greece.
- Developing a roadmap for these interventions, utilizing various funding tools and linking climate adaptation actions with the regional innovation ecosystem.
