Admissions & Application process
The candidate must hold an undergraduate degree from a Greek or foreign University (AEI), or a Greek Technological Educational Institution (TEI).
The main selection criteria include prior academic performance, letters of recommendation, work experience, and personality.
Participants holding a first degree from a foreign University must submit at their earliest opportunity, and in any event, prior to the date of graduation, the certificate “Recognition of Equivalence” of their first degree, by the Greek Center for Recognition of Foreign Universities (DOATAP).
Applicants apply for admission to the program by submitting a complete application form together with all the required documents, as described in the “Application process” section of this site. Candidates who have been admitted to the Program, pre-register to the program upon notification of admission. Normal registration period takes place prior to the beginning of the academic year during the dates specified by the Secretariat of the Program.
Application process
Once convinced that AUEB’s M.Sc. in Computer Science program is the right graduate program for you, you are invited to fill in the application form that is available here. The form must be accompanied by the following:
- Completed application form, together with 2 letters of Recommendation
- CV in English.
- Certified Copy of all University Degrees / Diplomas received.
- Official Transcripts of Grades received with certified translation in English where applicable.
- Proof of Knowledge of the English Language (level Advanced)
- Certified certificates of other foreign languages.
- Proofs of employment.
- Military obligation fulfillment or postponement paperwork (if applicable).
- A recent photo.
The knowledge of English is a requirement. Candidates are expected either to possess the Advanced Certificate of English, or to submit good test results in either TOEFL (at least 79) or IELTS (at least 6.5) tests.
Only complete applications will be considered, so please check carefully that all the necessary support material is provided.
Based on formal qualifications, test results and interview results, all candidates are ranked, and the admission results are communicated to the applicants. Applicants of the first round receive an answer on the application by end-June. Applicants of the second round receive an answer by August.
