Launching Event of SDSN Western Balkans

On the 3rd of March Prof. Koundouri gave an opening remark at the Launching Event of SDSN Western Balkans as a member of its Network Council. As SDSN Europe co-chair she highlighted the importance of having SDSN WB in the European and global Family and she gave a review of the work of SDSN Europe focusing on four major initiatives: SDSN SEAs Initiative, SDSN European Green Deal Senior Working Group, Sustainable Agrifood Systems and Land Use and the Sustainable Development Report Europe.

Opening speeches were also delivered by:

• Zlatko Lagumdžija, co-chair of SDSN Western Balkans, former Prime Minister of Bosnia & Herzegovina,
• Prof. Jeffrey Sachs, President UN SDSN, Director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University and
• Edin Forto, Prime Minister at Government of Sarajevo Canton / Vlada Kantona Sarajevo.
